(Sportsmen’s Club), was presented a lifetime membership at the club’s January 2009 meeting by President Joe VanArsdale. Woody was presented the first ever such award for his many years of involvement with the local club and for a donation of 3.5 acres of land. “Jimmy Woody’s donation of land adjoining and below the Sportsmen’s Club Lake was greatly appreciated by the club and we chose to honor him in this way”, said club President Joe VanArsdale. The recent acquisition of the additional property brings the club grounds property off of Lancaster Street to about 33 acres available to its membership. Recreational activities including fishing, several types of shooting sports, archery, camping and a picnic area are available to members. During the 1970’s and 1980’s, Jimmy was very active in all areas of the local clubs activities, the Fourth District Wildlife Federation and the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Programs. Woody has remained a club member and involved in recent years. With his lifetime membership he will enjoy the benefits of the club and no longer pay annual dues of $30.00 per year. 1. No alcoholic beverages on club grounds. 2. Place all targets where all bullets impact the berm. 3. SUNDAY SHOOTING HOURS: 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM CST. NO EXCEPTIONS. 4. No shooting of facilities, buildings, trap house, lights, glass, barrels, etc. 5. No boats on the lake. 6. Place all trash in barrels or take trash with you when you leave! 7. No riding ATV's on grounds. 8. Fishing license is required for those eligible for licensure. 9.
